The Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park is a natural gem in the middle of the Huesca Pyrenees; declared Biosphere Reserve, Special Protection Area (SPA) and World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.
The Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park is formed by the Tres Sorores massif (the highest calcareous massif in Europe), whose highest mountain is Monte Perdido (3335 metres high), also including impressive mountain ridges and glacial valleys.
This unique natural frame consists of the Ordesa Valley, the Añisclo Canyon, the Escuaín Gorges, the Pineta Valley, the Bujaruelo Valley… Each area has its singular personality in a total extension of 15000 ha.
The Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park is one of the most singular and beautiful places in the Huesca Pyrenees, the perfect environment to discover through excursions and hiking routes, having the chance to practice sport while you discover dreamlike landscapes and the local flora and fauna.
You will find GR footpath hiking routes (long distance), PR footpath hiking routes (short distance), challenging climbing to the peaks and excursions suitable for families. Some of the areas with several hiking routes and excursions are: the Ordesa Valley, the Bujaruelo Valley, the Sorrosal Valley.
Thanks to this rich natural environment in the Huesca Pyrenees, with a large extension and a varied orography, you will be able to enjoy a wide range of sports and activities near Torla – Ordesa, for those who wish to try the most active rural tourism: climbing, canyoning, horse riding, MTB, rafting, canoeing, caving, excursions by 4×4 cars, snow kiting in winter, snowshoeing in winter, hunting (wild boar and chamois) and trout fishing.
